FAQ’s

  • Self Storage is a secure and easy way to store your belongings; whether you are between houses, renovating or need extra space for your personal possessions. Think of it like an attic but without the ladders. Self storage is also used for businesses requiring extra space.

  • We offer a variety of different sized units:

    Small units are 10 sq ft - 50 sq ft

    Medium units are 50 sq ft – 100 sq ft

    Large units are 100 sq ft – 150 sq ft.

    If you are unsure of the size, you can give us a call to discuss your storage needs and we can recommend a size for you.

  • Yes, you can pop down any time during our office opening hours which are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm Saturday. Please note that we are closed on Sundays, Bank Holidays, Christmas Eve and New Years eve.

  • No, we do not offer container storage. All our units are within our warehouse.

  • All of our units are indoors apart from our garages.

  • Our access times are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm Saturday. Please note that we are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

    We also have some units which are accessible 24 hours a day.

  • Our rental periods work on a 4 weekly rotation paid for in advance. However, if you are not anticipating needing storage for less than 4 weeks, please contact us to discuss further options

    All we require is 7 days notice to vacate, and any rental time you have paid for but haven’t used will be refunded.

  • We require a minimum of 7 days notice to move out. You will be charged for those 7 days but any rental time you have paid for after that but haven’t used will be refunded to you.

  • Only those who have a key to your unit and your access code can access your unit. So if you would like another member of your family to pick something up for you they can do so. Just let us know by phone or email if anyone new will be accessing your unit beforehand.

  • Our Self Storage Agreement requires you to either: accept our enhanced liability protection under StoreProtect; or arrange insurance at your own expense for your stated Maximum Reinstatement Value for the duration of storage.

  • There are certain items which are not suitable for storage. Please see the following list, and also refer to condition 18 of our Self Storage Agreement.

    You must not store (or allow any other person to store) any of the following in the unit:

    • Food or perishable goods unless securely packed in hard plastic or glass containers so they are protected from and do not attract vermin.

    • Any living creatures.

    • Combustible or flammable substances such as gas, paint, petrol, oil, cleaning solvents or compressed gases.

    • Firearms, explosives, weapons, or ammunition.

    • Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents, toxic waste, asbestos or other potentially hazardous substances.

    • Any Goods that emit fumes or odours.

    • Any illegal Goods or substances or goods illegally obtained such as, but not limited to, illicit (counterfeit/smuggled) tobacco or alcohol and unlicensed or unsafe goods (such as toys, electrical goods, medicines, aerosols, cosmetics, fireworks).

    • Goods which are environmentally harmful or that are a risk to the property of any person.

    • Currency, deeds, and securities.

    • Property where the value to you cannot be assessed on a financial basis, including goods purely of sentimental value.

    • Any goods which are contaminated with food or any other substance which may deteriorate, rot, become mouldy or attract vermin.

  • On the day you move in you will need to bring with you two forms of ID; one with a photo and another with your name and address on. You will also need a padlock, we do sell these from £7.99 but you are more than welcome to purchase one elsewhere or bring one from home. You will also need to bring with you a credit or debit card, as your first payment will be taken by card with all other payments being made by direct debit.

  • Your first invoice on the day you move in will be paid by credit or debit card. All other invoices will be made by direct debit.

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards, including AMEX. We also accept direct debit and bank transfers.

  • Yes, your first payment will consist of your first 4 weeks plus a week’s deposit which will be returned to you when you vacate the unit.

  • Yes, we can reserve a unit for you free of charge for up to 4 weeks. Should you need to amend this date all you need to do is give us a call or drop us an email.

  • No, but we can suggest some removal companies for you.

  • Yes, as this ensures that you are the only person with a key to your unit. We do sell padlocks from £7.99 but you are more than welcome to purchase one elsewhere or bring one from home.

  • Our 24/7 units have a drive to facility. With internal units you can drive your vehicle up to our loading bay, load up your trolley and re-park your vehicle before taking your goods up to your unit.

  • Don’t panic, come and see us in the office and we will assist you in removing your padlock. Just remember to bring a new lock with you to replace it.
